Celia Pascaud is a glass artist living in France. She creates her jewelry by combining metalwork with various techniques such as pâte-de-verre, glass fusing and Tiffany-style stained glass.Meandering from map patterns to the curved letters of the alphabet, from one language to another, her pieces invite us to embark upon a contemplative inner journey. Pascaud includes glass elements that she has painted herself, and often uses oval shapes that evoke lockets traditionally dedicated to saints or famous people but here are commemorative to unknown persons. In her Snows collection, Pascaud explores texture and materials; in her Unknown Writings collection, she incorporates elements from letters, postcards and other written materials that are sometimes more than 100 years old.
