About the artist
Kazue Taguchi explores the ethereal and intangible effects of light and reflection. Inspired by stained glass windows in European churches, Taguchi works with reflective materials including glass, mirrors, plastic, and light. Her work explores the various qualities of light and features a complex interplay of reflections and shadows.
Taguchi has been a resident artist at the Museum of Arts and Design, Corning Museum of Glass, Pilchuck Glass School, Cité Internationale des Arts Paris, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Newark Museum, Vermont Studio Center, and Koganecho Bazaar in Yokohama, Japan.
