Design Happy Hour: Mad MAD Collaging with Zander Schlacter

Join artist and designer Zander Schlacter for an open bar and evening collaging workshop inspired by The Mad MAD World of Jonathan Adler. Participants will explore design motifs with bold and playful color palettes to create a collage on wood panel of their own design. All skill levels welcome!

Design Happy Hour invites the public ages 21 and up to enjoy an open bar of wine and beer while exploring design techniques with some of the city's most exciting makers and creatives. All activities take place in the Museum’s studio classroom. 

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Zander Schlacter (he/him) is an interdisciplinary artist and designer from Nashville, Tennessee. Zander earned his BFA in textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2017 before moving to New York City. In 2020, Zander founded his namesake textile and home goods line known for its maximalist, eccentric patterns and bold, adventurous color combinations. Zander works primarily within the medium of textiles across many disciplines and product categories; his artwork and textile prints have been applied to sculpture, home decor items, bedding, wallpaper, apparel, accessories, books, and ceramic tiles.
