MAD Patrons are invited to join MAD chief curator Elissa Auther and the gallerists of R & Company exploring and discussing the exuberant, uncanny worlds of the Haas Brothers now on view in New York City. The tour will start at MAD Museum, where Elissa will lead an illuminating tour of Haas Brothers: Uncanny Valley, sharing her insights into how the twins’ uses of systematic design thinking drives material innovation in their collaborative creative practice.
Following the tour at MAD, attendees will make their way downtown to R & Company, where the gallery’s team will provide a private tour of their current presentation of The Haas Brothers: Tree House. This latest body of work reflects a significant evolution in the artists’ process, aesthetic, and expressive range, expanding on earlier investigations while introducing new formal and material complexities. With Tree House, the Haas Brothers continue to deepen their exploration of nature as both subject and collaborator, offering a vivid and immersive meditation on growth, structure, and transformation.
