MAD will be open on Mon, May 6.

Studio Sunday

Meet artist educators Cheri Ehrlich and Cathy Rosamond for an afternoon of art making and gallery exploration!

Sun, Sep 13 / 2 pm

Front Design, Axor Waterdreams Shower System, 2014

Imagine what it would be like to create artwork using metal. Would your sculpture be strong and shiny? Wire wrapped or braided? Stationary or in motion? Wearable or mounted on the wall? Explore how innovative female artists used metal to make their work by visiting the exhibition Pathmakers: Women in Art, Craft and Design, Midcentury and Today and create your own metal artwork inspired by the work of historic designer Eva Zeisel and contemporary works by Front Design.

Studio Sundays, held once monthly offers countless opportunities to learn and explore. These intergenerational workshops are included with museum admission for families to work with artist-educators who provide insight into creative processes, inspired by MAD’s exhibitions. Each Studio Sunday workshop is unique, and open to anyone ages 6 and up.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
