Program Description

On Sunday afternoon, join artist educator Cathy Rosamond to explore the exhibition Re:Collection and for hands-on activities inspired by the way skilled makers transform humble materials into beautiful art objects. From clothing lables to clay, from plastic zip ties to used weapons, materials and process play a central role in the creative process. Families can expect a few trompe l'oile surprises as well! After viewing the exhibition, participants will be experimenting with balance to create their own mobiles.

At MAD, our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn through their hands. We work to deliver a sensory-rich intergenerational experience for families to enjoy the museum together. This program is suitable for children ages 6 and up.
