Join us for a hands-on workshop inspired by Dana Barnes: Untamed Gestures. Harlem-based artist Omi Gray will guide participants in the creative process of hand-felting, a traditional method of transforming loose fibers such as merino wool, silk, flax, and bamboo into fabric. In this two-hour workshop, participants will explore the touch and feel of different natural fibers while blending textures and colors to make a one-of-a-kind felted collage inspired by the maker’s personal story.
Design Happy Hour invites the public ages 21 and up to enjoy an open bar of wine and beer while exploring design techniques with some of the city's most exciting makers and creatives. All activities take place in the Museum’s studio classroom.
