Though it’s often considered a weakness of the medium, the delicate nature of clay and ceramics can also be a jumping-off point for new possibilities. In the hands of creative people, the broken pieces of figurines and other ceramic objects can be refashioned and remixed into new and exiting artworks. Exploring these possibilities, the afternoon-long, hands-on workshop Remixing the Figure’s Form gives participants the chance to learn innovative and exciting ways to rework, reconsider and remix ceramics into unique, individual creations.
