Blooms in Black and White with Sarah Bedford

SOLD OUT

Tue, Jun 14, 2022

Join contemporary painter and floral artist Sarah Bedford, co-curator of Flower Craft for an afternoon workshop using a floral arrangement of your own design. Seeking to provoke what British art critic Clive Bell described as “aesthetic emotion,” participants will compose bud vase arrangements and paint a still life using India ink and brushwork on watercolor paper. All materials and flowers will be provided, and participants will be able to take home their arrangements.

About the artist

Sarah Bedford is an artist, painter, sculptor, and self-taught wild-flower florist raised in Roundup, Montana. She received her BFA from the Cooper Union and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and has taught painting at Anderson Ranch. She is currently working on an exhibition exploring concepts of the domestic through floral still-life painting that will be on view at Mrs Gallery in New York City in fall 2022.
